You might find answers to some of your questions in the faq below:

  • Is Personal Training for me?
  • Absolutely!  PT is for anyone who is serious about changing the shape of their body, getting fitter and improving the quality of their life.  If you have a health and fitness goal that you find hard or damn near impossible to reach then having Personal Training is the answer to your problem.  I provide you with the help and support needed to enable you to achieve whatever it is you want.
  • What if I can’t afford the session costs?
  • I realise Personal Training can seem like a luxury to most in these tough economic times but what I would like to get across is the fact that if you do a simple re-evaluation of your costs and spending you may just find it becomes affordable. Not to mention the innovative way you can train with me – I rarely do 1-1 sessions now as small group training makes getting fit extremely affordable!  One issue I would like to highlight is the ‘need’ for people to have the latest t.v’s, iphones, etc when the products they have are perfectly fine.  Why not invest the money in something much more worthwhile that won’t be out of date in a few years time – Yourself!  Spend some money investing in a better, healthier future for yourself instead of material goods.  Secondly, have a good look at how much you spend on junk food or unhealthy food and drink during the week, don’t buy that rubbish and use the money saved to get some training.  You’ll not only be better off for starting to exercise but far healthier with the dietary changes you make.
  • Am I guaranteed results?
  • Yes, if you commit and put the hard work in.  At the beginning of the program we will set some goals together and as long as you give the program 100% effort you will reach those goals.  If you don’t and for any reason it is down to me why you didn’t, then I will train you for free until you do. That’s my guarantee to you so you can rest assured you will get the results you want.
  • Will I need to diet or take supplements?
  • Of course not.  I hate the word diet as it conjures up images of strict food regimes where by results (albeit short lived) are obtained through cutting out certain foods or taking supplements.  I advise clients on the best dietary changes they can make to shift their nutrition onto a better course to sustain exercise and also improve body composition.  The recommendations are made on an individual basis and I only impose restrictions where people need to make those drastic changes for health reasons, such as the reversal of obesity.  Supplements are again just that, a supplement to a healthy eating lifestyle.  You will not have to take meal replacement shakes or pop pills 24/7 but I will highlight certain supplements that most people are deficient in and can greatly improve health, one example being a good quality Omega 3 oil or capsule.
  • How can training with Aegis Fitness benefit me more than joining a gym?
  • The benefits of training and eating well are substantial regardless of how and where you do them.  But there are always limits to each circumstance.  When training with me, we are guaranteed to cover all aspects and therefore give you the best possible results.  The table below highlights some examples:
